The shores of Lake Atitlan are dotted with 13 vibrant towns each with its own unique magical feel. On this day trip, you’ll start your journey by discovering the traditional Mayan technique for dying yarn and visiting local art galleries in San Juan la Laguna.  You will continue your adventure in San Pedro la Laguna, a vibrant backpacker’s town where you can enjoy a tasty dish and have some of the best coffee and chocolate beans in the area. Your day ends in Santiago Atitlan which is home to Maximon, a locally know protector and icon of Guatemalan religious syncretism, and a perfect example of how local and western cultures have fuzed to create their own unique culture.
